The Lorry I. Lokey Stem Cell Research Building allocates unprecedented space for collaborative studies houses unique core services and enabling technologies. It spans 200,000 GSF including a basement vivarium and 3 above-grade floors of research labs and support space. The project was directed by user feedback to attain optimum efficiency in all workspaces.
The facility houses the Stanford Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine Institute, integrating researchers from multiple specialties and disciplines including cancer, neuroscience, cardiovascular medicine, transplantation, immunology, bioengineering, and developmental biology, as well as the Stanford Cancer Center.
